This ring features a vibrant blue sapphire weighing nearly 2 carats, and surrounded by a full carat of white sapphires. These are all lab created sapphires, which were first created in 1873 and have been very popular in jewelry for over 100 years. They are chemically identical to natural sapphires, and are usually near-flawless with brilliant color, yet at a much lower price. If these were natural sapphires this ring would cost many times more than this one. Yet the 14K setting of this ring is thick and luscious, very well made, and high quality� worthy of the best gems. The openwork gallery is high, and sets the gems well above the finger for maximum sparkle. It also has cathedral sides to protect the gem setting from daily wear.
